Nichifor Crainic - Name of Honour for a “Romanian Anthology of Orthodox Laic Teachers”

Summary/Abstract: This paper is part of the inset portrait of Nichifor Crainic, integrated in the “course support” for doctoral students at the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Theology “Patriarch Justinian”, University of Bucharest, being called “Laic teachers to support Orthodox catechesis”, held under the direction of Father Professor Vasile Gordon. The author also points out the stage of establishing a Romanian Anthology of Orthodox Laic Teachers, where N.C. is a name of honour. There have been omitted from this material the bio-bibliographical information in the course, reproducing only a few issues that concern the quality of teacher/educator of the great professor, theologian, poet, journalist, etc. Emphasis in particularly on his pleading for the importance of child Christian education and their fresh example of gaining entrance into the kingdom of heavens, whose “nostalgia” is carried by every man, consciously or not. The article concludes with an “addenda” we believe convenient, for the fact that it reproduces two of the perhaps less known poems honouring N.C., the relationship between the lyrics and N.C.’s quality as Christian teacher of the Romanian people.
