Summary/Abstract: In the article are analysed those elements of the family structure among the Turkish-speaking Bulgarians, which display the greatest vitality and most actively participate in the ethno-cultural processes in our country during the last decades. The author's attention is directed to the revealing of typical and stable cultural and everyday-life features of the family among those members of Bulgarian nation, who are determined by their adherence to Islam and who display Turkish self-concsiousness. According to these inherited peculiarities the Turkish-speaking Bulgarian family is objectively distinguished from the family among the rest of Bulgarian population. In the article are shown also those features of Turkish-speaking Bulgarian family which are a natural result from the adoption of common national patterns and norms of behaviour in family life. They are not only a product of the peculiarities in the development of Bulgarian nation during the last decades, but also of some world-spread cultural and urbanizing influences. The method of approach, chosen by the author, stresses mainly on the area of marriage relations and cultural-distinguishing traditions, connected with them. They keep their stability up to nowadays, despite they have changed a lot and have even adjusted to the socio-economic and cultural reality in our country.
