Summary/Abstract: This article presents poetry of Dubravko Horvatić, member of the circle called „razlogovci“, Croatian poet of the second postwar generation, his ten collections of poems and poetic prose. His verses are exempt from all restraints and without rhyme, vers libre, built on the pure tone versification for which the number of syllables in a verse is not important. The author classified the poetical opus into three creative periods, applied structural and stylistic approach, investigated, listed and explained the theme-motif core, display, appellative and expressive characteristics of poetical expression with mirror structures, as well as constituent parts of impressive or expressive phonetics: homonyms, homophones, heteronyms, assonance, alliterations, then graphic, poetic structure, architecture, music and respect for tradition. In the concluding chapter Horvatić’s poetic oeuvre is certified by findings of other researchers, and placed in the context of his generation and Croatian literature in general.
