Summary/Abstract: The article considers the historical and cultural realities of Poland forming polish informative piece of space in Felix Toll “Reference dictionary on all branches of knowledge”. Released in the 1863-1864., the first Russian Encyclopedic Dictionary is a piece of heritage of Russian culture of the middle of the 19th century: the dictionary text is interesting as the initial stage of formation of this lexicographic genre, as well as a reflection of the world picture of an important period of Russian - and wider – European, including the Polish, history.
