Summary/Abstract: The text reviews Grzegorz Franczak’s book, which presents the outcomes of research on Petrarch’s "Insignis obedientia et fides uxoris," being a remake of Boccaccio’s last story from "Decameron." Franczak discusses the manuscript accounts of Petrarch’s text produced in the group of Polish scholars, against the wide background of multidirectional cultural relations he depicts the history of Griselda’s – the story’s character – Polish literary images, and suggests a critical edition of Petrarch’s text.
