Summary/Abstract: The research interprets fundamental theories concerning the specific characteristics of secondary school students as subjects in the course of the formation and development of cognitive competencies. The process is discussed from the point of view of the intrinsic personality properties that contribute to its success. The cognitive potential of the subjects is interpreted in the context of their procedural and performative, technological, and operative meaning.
