Summary/Abstract: The professionalism deserves to be considered primarily as an opportunity and perspective to maintain humanism as principle of the people’s lives and society. His humanistic paradigm is based in the specific of the professional knowledge as a form of power and freedom. This knowledge gives us opportunity to choose whether to enjoy to power of knowledge as privilege, or to use it to realize our social values as goals of the professional work as required standarts of professional morality. The ability of society to provide the conditions for pursuing and achieving the social values such as professional goals depends on the moral prestige of the professions and societal willingness to maintain and develop the institutions that care for humanity in society – hospitals, schools, universities...In this context professionalism is the most eloquent example of the importance of education as a means of prevention and overcoming crises.
