Summary/Abstract: This paper identifies integral and differential functions of the Volga interliterary context, underlying its epic, lyric and dramatic subsystems. The meaning-forming potential of the interliterary dialogues generating integrative text ensembles within a certain community of texts is considered. The laws of creation and functioning of the intertextual unities are established. A conclusion is made that the main condition for manifestation of the arising interliterary textual integrity is a joint creative and receptive meaning that is projected in the works belonging to different national literatures. This meaning is realized in the modality of understanding as a state of consciousness and a mode of being of the subject of interliterary dialogues, i.e., a reader or a writer.
