Summary/Abstract: Stefan Vianu continues in this article the series of debates on Patapievici's work present in the no 9 issue of Romania Literara.By analyzing one of the fundamental values of modernity, autonomy. Patapivici states in his works that the principle of autonomy taken for granted opposes certain existence rules. Patapievici makes a few original and controversed remarks on the principle of freedom as well.
