Summary/Abstract: The author has dealt with Júlia Szendrey’s life and her career, who was the wife of the Hungarian poet, Sándor Petőfi , and after his death she married to Árpád Horvát. The study aims to prove that this woman, who died before the 40th years of age, was not only the devoted wife of our greatest poet and the obedient wife of Mr. Horvát for many years, and the mother of three children but she was a poet and writer.
