From Mythological Images Towards Reconstruction of the Religious System of the Baits

Summary/Abstract: The paper comes over reminiscence about the circumstances of the tragic death of gintaras Beresnevičius, discusses his oeuvre, main investigations and especially his substantial contribution to the baltic religion and mythology studies. The following books by Beresnevičius are reviewed more extensively: "Dausos. Pomirtinio gyvenimo samprata senojoje lietuvių pasaulėžiūroje" (1990), "Baltų religinės reformos" (1995), "Lietuvių religija ir mitologija: sisteminė studija" (2005).
