The Bulgarians in Central Cuban

Summary/Abstract: On the basis of recently discovered, documents the authors follow up the resettlement of Bulgarians in Cuban from the middle of the 1 9th c. They came chiefly from South Ukraine and Bessarabia and settled down around the towns and the big Cossack inhabited places where they engaged in their traditional market-gardening. At present in Central Cuban live both heirs of these Bulgarians who had settled there long ago, and descendants of Bessarabian Bulgarians who after the so-called dispossession of the kulaks in the 30s and 40s of the 20th century had been interned in Siberia and the Ural Mountains, and later did not return to their native places but settled in the territory of Cuban.
