Summary/Abstract: Corporate entrepreneurship is the phenomenon that raises challenges for both the practice and theory of management. Another problem, also important nowadays, is to identify determinants of the functioning of business groups, because this organizational form starts to dominate in world’s economy. The first aim of this article is to propose the new typology of business group’s subsidiaries. The second aim is to formulate the hypothesis about capabilities to create corporate entrepreneurship activities. Financial subsidiaries have the greatest potential and operating subsidiaries have the smallest potential to create this type of activities.
