Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the problematic of East vs. West in two novels: "The White Castle# by Orhan Pamuk and "Zamfir`s Zona" by Stevan Srenac. It is about treating these two entities as separate categories, according to their frequency in the novels, as well as according to their importance to the culture of the East and to the culture of the West. The goal is, by defining what is treated as "Eastern" and "Western" in the both novels, to indicate the need for bridging the differences between the socalled "Two Worlds", which are essentially one and only world.
