Summary/Abstract: This paper consists of a brief analysis of the passing from the concept of classic mechanics to the theory of relativity and quantum mechanics and certain consequences produced by the discoveries of science over philosophical concepts as time, space and causality. Classic mechanics stands that time and space are absolute and this consideration is true for the mathematical equations used in this part of physics. These ideas were taken for granted until Albert Einstein showed that no signal could be transmitted with a higher speed than the speed of light in vacuum. Space and time are relative notions; therefore we can no longer speak about the absolute simultaneity of the events. The papers is divided in two parts, one which describes the actual modification of the concepts mentioned above along with the revolutions that took place in physics and the other part is dedicated to the philosophical theories which accompanied classic mechanics ( some of the guiding theories elaborated by Plato, Rene Descartes, John Stuart Mill, Simon Laplace). In the first part we analyzed the debates between the physicians whom considered necessary to develop philosophical theories in order to explain the new discoveries. We refer to Niels Bohr, Albert Einstein, David Bohm, Paul Vigier and others. Building a new philosophy in order to try to explain that existence and the mechanisms of the universe is proving to be, once again, a huge and never-ending process.
