How to Differentiate Lyrical Poetry: The Concept of Basic Characteristic

Summary/Abstract: Numerous literary phenomena exist for centuries before they obtain a name. With nostalgia and wonder we could exclaim rhetorically that the way to the name is a long one. Viewing it empirically we could say that it is easier to create something than to explain why it came into being. Analogously, poiesis seems to be simpler than its episteme, i. e. poetics. The beginnings of the reflexion on poetry coincided with the realization of the qualitative difference between poetry and the common linguistic expression. This difference is another facet of the quality or of the constitutive features of every system that can be singled out, which is the lyrical one in our context. The differentiai quality of the lyrical message consists in the manner, use, coordination and selection of features. It merges cognition, emotion, and the figure, making the message polysemantic and polyfunctional.
