Summary/Abstract: The tell neo - eneolitic from Coţatcu, Potgoria village, is situated in the north-east of Buzău country ca.15 km north-west of Râmnicul Sărat town, in the hilly area on the right side of the brook terrace Coţatcu. Starčevo cultural level - Criş was discovered at the base of the tell between 2,50 m and 3,15 m, above it was reported several stages of habitation dating Stoicani - Aldeni. Were it found haly -buried ruins of a hause and an inhumation grave. The archaeological materials can by dated Starčevo - Criş IIIB, or IV Criş.
