Summary/Abstract: In the paper the author analyses the use of European Union funds, funds of European Investment Bank (EIB), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and national sources in investments in renewable energy sector in Poland in 2007-2013 financial perspective versus investment needs in the sector. The author estimates investment needs in the sector between 1.02 and 1.19 billion euro. There is still left ca. 0.57 billion euro in EU funds to be spent up to 2013, i.a. on renewable energy, and there is still great chance of co-finance of that investments in Poland by EIB and EBRD. Proper use of these possible funds could allow to cover at least 50% of total costs of necessary investments in the sector in Poland.
