Summary/Abstract: The starting point for our topic is the question: What does God reveal about himself in the figure and life story of Mary of Nazareth? If this question is forgotten, mariology cannot transcend the framework of hagiography. If in the area of creation the image of God has two editions, why should be his image reduced just to his male version in the area of grace? This is the reason why christology needs mariology as a complement. It is in this point where the highly positive feature of intuition included in Marian phenomenon should be seen. It is through Mary how the incarnated Word reveals what transcends the capacity of expression of his adopted male human nature. Only the first Person of Trinity and Mary of Nazareth can say to Jesus: You are my Son. On the basis of this parallelism, the re-lecture of all maxims of classical mariology is possible. The virginal conception and delivery correspond to the Son’s procession in immanent Trinity from one principle, e.g. from the first Person of Trinity. The Son is the only begotten in immanent Trinity, as it is in the relation with his mother. As the paternity-sonhood in the immanent Trinity eternally includes the universal creation paternity of God, Mary’s motherhood towards Christ, by analogy, includes her universal motherhood towards all people. Mary is not a “competition” to God, but a revelation of his motherly and virginal features.
