Summary/Abstract: The main actor of this paper is Gheorghe Cristescu, the first secretary general of the Romanian Communist Party between 1921 and 1924, but also the first Romanian that held this position until 1944. Because such a topic has not been thoroughly researched far, the author of this paper presents the life of this important Socialist and later Communist militant who, until his death, truly believed in the Socialist values
