Summary/Abstract: The paper is based on the well-known assumption that time and space are intertwined, but it explores the issue from the perspective of corporeality, as it manifests itself in the semantic extensions of the body part term noha (‘leg’). The complex image schema connected with the legs and their functions can be called The motion along a path by means of legs. It serves as source domain for time metaphors in Czech, e.g. "time is a being moving by means of legs along a path or time is space where A subject moves along a path by means of legs".
