Summary/Abstract: In this article the Palamism is treated as quintessence of orthodox divinity, as completed expression of orthodox belief, being original water-shed between the East and the West theology; as the formation factor of identity of the orthodox theology and spirituality and differentiation from the western divinity, on which lies the guilt for the worldly-minded Spirit of the West and the crisis of contemporary man. The distinction between essence and energies, which is characteristic for Palamism, is revealed as a subsidiary means for achievement of an expression of the opportunity for a participation of the human person in the God and an opportunity for real communion with God, which appears a basis for the healing and the deification of the person. Exactly through the Palamism, the spiritual experience of the orthodox East is incorporated in the theology. Many points of contact between the Palamism and the Heidegger’s thought and existential philosophy of the twentieth century are observed in this issue. The most basic of them can be found in the doctrine that unapproachable being makes itself existentially perceived and shared. The existential philosophy is employed to reveal the intention of the Palamism in a language, which the West could understand; therefore the Palamism has a chance to enter in a conversation with the West, through the intermediation of the existential categories and thus to be understand. Representing itself as theology of connection, communication between God and creation by energies, which has for an object the completely unification without merge, the complete relation without a destruction of self- identity and the real divinization without elimination of the self-identity of the creation, the Palamism lays the foundations of a specific energetic anthropology in the future what is especially important in the context of increasingly intensify crisis of contemporary man.
