Summary/Abstract: From 1920 till 1932 Pancho Vladigerov is musical manager of Max Reinhardt's theaters. This period of his life is usually perceived in the shadow of his great musical works. Stefan Lazarov's book Pancho Valdigerov and the Theater is the only one for over 30 years now that is wholly dedicated to the importance of theater in the creative work of Pancho Vladigerov. Even less researched is the period of Pancho Vladigerov's stay in Berlin - from 1912 till 1932. The article analyses the functions of the musical manager in Reinhardt's theaters, the relationship director - music author, and the function of music in the theaters of Reinhardt, using the research and the documents from the archive of the Deutsches Theater-Berlin. The problems are examined at the level of theater perspective. It is shown how Pancho Vladigerov participated in the formation of one of the leading theater aesthetics of the 20th century together with some of the most noted composers and musicians of that time and the accent is not placed so much on how the theatrical cooperation with Reinhardt influenced Vladigerov's creative works - a problem well researched by musicologists. In other words, the problems are analyzed in the context of Pancho Vladigerov's work. Outlined are some quite unknown facts of Vladigerov's activities while his work is examined from the point of view of the concept for an overall performance by Reinhardt.
