Summary/Abstract: Known as a diligent folklorist, a good expert of terrain work and talented researcher of folklore music, Todor Todorov made his research in close connection with practice and live folk music. He did not limit himself to a specific sphere of music-folklore problematic but academically explored folk art. The present study marks the main key points which were laid, studied and developed by the researcher of folklore in some of his published monograph studies, articles, reports as well as in some unpublished works, kept in his personal collection in the Music-Folklore Archive of the Institute of Art Studies at BAS. The study used a detailed and extensive bibliographical data, prepared by the author of all known up to now music study materials by Todor Todorov. The scientist left the sphere of traditional research and looked at new spheres of interest that have become object of his studies for life. In details the author of the study examines just one of the themes that have moved the researcher - "Recent Folklore Problems" and more precisely - the present - the folk song competitions and authors' treatment of folk songs. T Todorov's presence in the media and education are also mentioned.
