Plagiarism and autoplagiarism

Summary/Abstract: This article addresses the problem of plagiarism and autoplagiarism in Poland. Plagiarism is using another person’s ideas or a part of their work and pretending that this is your own. Autoplagiarism, in turn, is re-using your own work without acknowledgement. These two phenomena have become much more frequent in recent years. One of the reasons is technical progress and the ease of copying digital information.
