Summary/Abstract: During the first decades after the soviet occupation in 1944, the Romanian writers were yield to certain diverse and severe pressures. Some of their books were prohibited, some had no right to publish, and some were arrested and condemned to many years of detention. Petre Pandrea, himself a political inmate during these times completed a list of all inmate writers. The article completes the list and analyses the socio-political context of the era by describing the groups of writers that got to express themselves during the time.
