Summary/Abstract: Research into the way of life and culture of the workers now being formed, and emerging from the milieu of former peasants and cooperative farmers is only one side of the problem of the social structure of the working class. Research into the aspects of their culture and way of life helps to regulate the stream of information on the culture of local ways of life, which carry their own specific features into working class circles, through a number of measures connected with raising the standards of the culture and way of life of these workers; this is combined with propaganda aimed at introducing to them the most progressive workers' traditions, and building up cultural habits in their daily way of life. The problem of the way of life and culture of workers of peasant origin now being formed makes it imperative to define and concretize the basic tasks of such researches, which should be of theoretical, practically applied and ideological educational importance. On the basis of concrete research into the way of life and its culture among these workers at the Chemical Plant in the town of Vratza, the author offers the most general theoretical formulations of the basic tasks, which might be more generally applicable in engaging in similar research, connected with the changes which set in in the social structure of the working class at the stage of the building of a developed socialist society.
