Summary/Abstract: The present article deals with three closely connected types of semantic information which are absent from the existing dictionaries of the Polish language. The first type of information is a gloss on the place which is granted for a given unit in the informative structure of utterance types in which this unit might be used; the second information concerns the way of negating the content of the phrase in question. A matter connected with the above-mentioned issues is such a phrasing of dictionary entries which ensures that it consists of the same elements as normal utterances i.e. it should refer to both presupositional (the thematic part) meaning and also to what is being said and therefore remains within the range of negation (the rhematic part). The above-mentioned information could be easily introduced to lexicographical studies, especially to those which are electronic. Advanced semantics provides necessary tools for such research.
