The Effect of the Activities of the JSC “Joniškio Grudai” on the Environment

Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the air pollution effect caused by the activities of the JSC Joniškio grudai. The main sources of pollution and its main pollutants have been identified in the paper. Air pollution dynamics for 2001–2004 is shown. The amounts of consumed natural gasses and emitted pollutants are separately presented in the work. It has been indicated that only solid particles are removed from emitted pollutants; the effect of treatment makes up 96,7%. Air pollution caused by the servicing transport has been also analyzed. Problems related to the management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste are described.
