Summary/Abstract: One of the conditions That Bulgaria had to comply with in order to join the EU was the intellectual property rights, a domain completely ignored before the fall of communism and widely breached after 1990. It is necessary to enforce a new legislation unanimously accepted regarding the intellectual property rights. In an age of rapid technological development the temptation to pirate any intellectual creation is high and easy to satisfy. Soon the term copyright might become outdated.
