Summary/Abstract: Sociology emerged in the European epistemology frames. As a child, of a civil conception of society it underlined its core categories. The national state with all its features is a framework in which it has develop. Therefore, the sociology of Conte and further thinkers discussed the development of spontaneous structures and natural progress. In held contradiction of the civil society concept has emerged and in social practice has broken down into concepts and practice of liberal capitalism and socialism. This rupture of the concept of the civil society is constantly present and sociology is thus determined by the European construct. Concepts such as the state, individualism, class conflict, materialism, vertical societal structuring are determined as crucial to the construct. At the end of the twentieth century, without big emphasis, the concept of network structuring and information as a basis of social production led to the emergence of an information society construct. It has put into question settled sociological and social categories. Instead of conflict, rivalry, competition, increasingly emerging concepts are those of cooperation, reciprocity, with the permissibility of local value systems. Stability is replaced by uncertainty. How will sociology respond to these new challenges represent in essence the question of further development of sociology as a general social theory. The interaction of global network communication will make this processes less European and more integrative on the whole.
