Summary/Abstract: During the past decade, the international security environment has significantly changed under the influence of globalization, information revolution and the ever increasing complexity of risks. As a result, intelligence agencies have to adapt to new security challenges by stressing upon analysis rather than collection of intelligence. The analysts within the Romanian Intelligence Service have also put much effort into improving the accuracy of their assessments and prognosis by adapting new methods and techniques available in the academic field to the specific needs of intelligence analysis.
