Summary/Abstract: The main subject of the article are the relationships between enterprises and their suppliers and customers and how it determines innovative activity of industrial enterprises. The research was conducted on a group of 728 industrial enterprises in West Pomeranian Voivodeship in the years 2009-2011. The methodological part of the analyses is based on the probability calculus and probit modelling which is an efficient research tool in the case of big yet static samples where the dependent variable is qualitative. This research study has proved that described relationships between organizations are important for innovation activity in this regional industrial system. Therefore these factors should be considered in innovative strategies.
