Summary/Abstract: The adoption of the Nuremberg Code in August 1947 was an important milestone in the development of modern bioethics by enshrining the deontological principles of medical research, respectively of the conditions of conducting scientific experiments on humans. Our work intends, from historical milestones regarding the circumstances in which this code was adopted, to analyze the ethical and legal coordinates research on human subjects, namely to present how these fundamental rules were integrated into international law dedicated to bioethics. Through the research examples that have been and are made at present in the name of science directly on the people, especially on the vulnerable beings such as women, children, the elderly or those in detention, which resulted in deaths and serious injury, we intend to demonstrate the timeliness of this topic. The ethical dilemmas that led to the consecration of the 10 rules of the present Code are proving to be more current than ever: which are the ethical and legal means such as guaranteeing the rights inherent in any human being, namely the right to life, to physical integrity, their right to dignity? What is the role of the legal rules in the extensive process of defense of the ethical regulations, against the dangers of testing and biomedical research? How can the legal regulations be more effective for observing the deontological principles that protect human being?
