Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, the logistic departments are present within flowcharts of numerous high companies of Europe, Great Britain and USA, together with the marketing, manufacturing and finances. But, in spite the apparent growth of the logistics importance within the organizational structure; many executive managers understand yet simply the role of logistics, considering that this activity only consists of delivering the adequate product to the adequate place and with the smallest price possible. But, logistics has a special significance, on accomplishing the distribution politics, of an enterprise as much more that lately the company’s profitability is determined with the help of efficiency’s rate by using logistics assets. The logistic performances can be measured from determining the efficiency of using the logistics assets. The efficiency of logistics activity can brought a measurable contribution towards company’s profitableness. To most of companies, the production, sales and the activity of service - meaning three key activities that add value within the specific value chain for a company – represent together more resources and, as result, can have a combined impact, greater over the profitableness than the logistics. Although, the efficiency of logistics has to be treated as essential weapon, integrant part of competition arsenal of a company. For these reasons, decisions taken within this field have involvements both over marketing and also over the manufacturing costs.
