Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to assess the scale of financialization in Poland. To achieve it there were presented the main financial categories, determining the development of the Polish financial system (mainly its banking part). It has been proved in the article that financialization has not constituted a serious problem in Poland so far. However, high dynamics of this process within the last years may significantly change the situation.
