THE PERSPECTIVES OF ECONOMY IN THE PROCESS OF GLOBALIZATION AND TRANSNATIONALIZATION OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS

Summary/Abstract: Globalization is, in fact, the economic integration of the world, carried out through trade, financial flows, technologies and information exchange, and migration of people. Globalization is, in the first place, and above all, the result of expansion, diversification and deepening of trading and financial relations between countries, particularly within the last ten years. Certain economies evolved by themselves during the time, coming to the conclusion that they are open and export-oriented economies, more successful than those close economies, oriented exclusively to themselves. In accordance with that, more than ever before, individual countries liberalize their exchange and trade regimes, convinced that this is really the best way to ensure growth and development. Moreover, there is increased interest of state authorities worldwide to follow macroeconomic policy, and create the environment, as stable as possible, for investment and expansion of economic activities. With increasing liberalization of financial markets and their increased sophistication, capital markets got integrated, and now, the bigger part of capital flows are being moved towards the lesser risk level, and quick return of invested resources, which can be of great importance for economies and societies in post-crisis period.
