The problem of corruption in Russian police at the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX century.

Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the problem of the corruption influence on the activities of the police bodies in Russia at the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX century. The author estimates the scale, the forms and the degree of the system features in the police corruption. He also analyses the factors that influence upon its level and the degree of the effectiveness of the measures taken by the Russian State while struggling against this phenomenon.
