Designing socio-political history of Ancient Russia in Catherine II's historical writing

Summary/Abstract: The author considers the problem of socially focused representation of history on the example of constructions of socio-political history of Old Russia in the historical works by Catherine II. The author shows how the empress designed «a social order» and «a reasonable» image of mutual relations of the prince, aristocracy and the people.
