Philips’ curve in terms of macroeconomic data for Poland

Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the applicability of the Phillips curve to the macroeconomic conditions in Poland from 1998 to 2011. Many statistically significant models are compared which describe the variation in unemployment rates with other macroeconomic variables. It was found that the classic Phillips curve, in the years studied, did not always describe the relationship between unemployment and inflation. In the cases in which this curve successfully described the relationship, the equations are given.
