Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the importance of Stanislavski and Meyerhold for the theatrical formation of the author. Having entered the world of theatre as an orphan, he was “raised” by these two spiritual grandfathers, who taught him fundamental things about acting and the actor, about freedom and political engagement. Stanislavski and Meyerhold permitted the author to be part of what he calls disconnected traditions which are handed on through discontinuity and contradiction, evading the straight path. Such a disconnected tradition is the one which saw Seki Sano, a Japanese director, transmit the Stanislavskian and Meyerholdian heritage in Latin America.
