Summary/Abstract: The presented text is the answer to the Editorial Board of the journal Sociological Review. Some members of this Board undertook a series of activities in order to dispute the Report of the Committee on the basis of which I was to get a full professor status. The Sociological Review (number 4, 2005; published in 2006) published the article "On the Profession" which was written by Žolt Lazar, a member of the Sociological Review Editorial Board. In that "article" the assistant Lazar claims that several pages from my article "Bogardus's Scale of Social Distance – Advantages and Limitations" are plagiarisms, ignoring the sources of data mentioned in the article as well as in the list of the used references. The same content is a part of the Objection which was signed by Milan Brdar, also a member of the Sociological Review Editorial Board, and which was sent to the Election Council of the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad. In addition to the assistant Lazar's "article", the reactions of the Editorial Board and of the president of the Sociological Society of Serbia, Milovan Mitrović, were published in the same number of the journal. My answer to the mentioned texts was not published in that same journal, and the Editorial Board did not even inform me about their decision. In my answer I pointed out to the following facts: the manner in which Lazar and Brdar tried to deceive the sociological, but not only the sociological public; some characteristics of their professional biographies as well as of the biography of the then editor-in-chief, Gordana Tripković. The aim of the presentation of these facts was to point out to the groundlessness of their statements, but also to the different criteria for the promotion in the field of sociology. The presented text also includes the answers of the members of the Committee.
