Summary/Abstract: This research paper analyzes the results of the Sixth Environmental Action Program of EU in the field of climate change. Although the policy of the climate change problems has been Sixth Program’s priority, this study shows that the results are average. Analysis of the two most important sectors indicates that EU is still at the beginning of an entire process of dealing with climate change. EU works hard on carbon dioxide emissions reduction, while considers increasing of the share of renewable resources as a priority. This is a positive move, but surely insufficient. On the one hand, EU will fulfill Program’s aims and become valuable participant in international negotiations. Nevertheless, this might leave the impression of superficial environmental policy where real problems still wait for their solutions.
