Summary/Abstract: Fuel crisis from the second half of the 70s and the beginning of the 80s of the XXth century caused the necessity of the research of the alternative sources of energy. One realized then that the natural energy supplies were limited. Oilseed rape is one of the oil plants that is used for the biofuel production. Farmers – oilseed rape manufacturers – adjusted their offer to the differentiated oilseed rape market. Beside the traditional demand on grocery aims, there is also the demand coming from the national and international fuel industry. Nowadays, near half of oilseed rape produced in Poland, is sold for energy purposes.
