Summary/Abstract: The changes that have happened since the end of Cold War have led to a rethinking of the structures and procedures for intelligence systems, where policies of openness and interaction with these systems’ external elements are becoming increasingly important. At the same time, business, non-profit and governmental organizations are aware of the need to manage relationships with their stakeholders if they want to succeed in accomplishing their missions. This paper examines intelligence services’ generic stakeholders and discusses why academics may be emerging as generic key players within intelligence organizations’ webs of stakeholders under the new intelligence paradigm. From this approach, it presents actions developed and results reached in Spain, mainly through the National Intelligence Centre’s Intelligence Culture Initiative.
