Summary/Abstract: The article presents the crystallization process of the Greek-Catholic Church in Hungary, around Munkačevo (Munkács). The road begins with the birth of this community through the union of Uzhhorod (1646), with the involvement of the Orthodox clergy in northern Hungary, the Austrian Crown, and the Transylvanian Bishop of Transylvania, Simion Stephen. It describes the evolution of the Church so born, going through the liturgical transformations of the sec. XVIII, by unifying the liturgical traditions inherited from the Ukrainian and Serbian space. Other changes took place in the hierarchical organization as a result of the political evolution at the end of the century. XVIII, which meant annexing Galicia to the Habsburg Empire.
