DEMOCRATIC DEFICIT IN MACEDONIA HAS SYSTEMIC ROOTS

Summary/Abstract: The text is introductory address of the president of the European Movement in Republic of Macedonia at the joint event organized with the Helsinki Committee; one year after Macedonia has acquired candidate status for accession in the EU. The address represents a short overview of the democratic deficit in Macedonia and the consequences thereof, with ultimate aim to encourage wider debate and comprehensive analysis of the issue.
