Summary/Abstract: Membership in international organizations does not fall into the category of additional engagement referred to in Article 33 para. 1 and 2 of the Act on the Exercise of the Mandate of a Deputy or and Senator. Consequently, the Deputy is not obliged to notify the Marshal of the Sejm his/her intention of becoming a member of a particular international social organization. The author notes, however, that in the case where that organization runs business activity and when membership would entail participation in its governing bodies, then such participation should be notified to the Marshal of the Sejm.
