VALUES AND ETHICS OF COMMUNITY PSYCHOLOGY

Summary/Abstract: Based on the analysis of distinct notes of community psychology, defined by cultural competence, the paper presents cultural and moral values (social justice, self-determination, participation, wealth, caring, human diversity) that contribute to the particularization of this new field of contemporary psychology. The paper focuses on the openness to social interaction, the ways of development for community resources and the means to enhance citizen participation in social change facilitated by community psychology.
