Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes Nechui-Levytskyi’s writings vocabulary in the Dictionary of the Ukrainian language under Grinchenko’s editorship. The Dictionary of the Ukrainian language focuses on colloquial speech which shows and highlights everyday people activities. Also we can find the colloquial speech in Nechui-Levytskyi’s literature works.
